Scan Photos - Android

Follow these detailed steps to effectively scan and colorize a photo using your Android device:

 

1. Access the Scan Feature

  • Open the scanning app and select the Scan Photos option.
  • Ensure you grant the necessary permissions for the app to access your camera, as these are required for the scanning functionality.

                                     

 

2. Begin the Scanning Process

  • A screen will appear with a prominent blue button at the bottom.
  • Tap the blue button to initiate the scanning feature.
  • Prepare your photo for scanning. 

 

                                    

 

3. Scan the Photo

  • Position your photo within the camera's frame and tap the blue circle to scan.
  • Once the scan is complete, tap the checkmark in the lower-right corner to proceed.

                    

 

4. Review the Scanned Photo

  • After confirming the scan, you will be directed to a page displaying a thumbnail of the scanned photo.
  • Tap the thumbnail to begin editing.

                                            

 

5. Edit the Photo

  • On the editing screen, you will find several options at the bottom:
    • Crop
    • Filter
    • Draw
    • Colorize
    • Delete
  • Apply the desired edits to your scanned photo.
  • Once finished, tap the checkmark in the upper-right corner to save your changes. You will be redirected to the thumbnail screen.

                 

 

6. Finalize and Exit Editing

  • If no further edits are required, tap the X icon in the upper-left corner.
  • Select Done to confirm completion.

                                     

 

7. Save the Scanned Photo

  • To save the photo, tap the three dots in the upper-right corner.
  • Tap Select and then select the photo you wish to save. A blue checkmark will indicate your selection.
  • Tap Copy To on the bottom part of your screen.

                     

 

8. Choose where you want to save the photo. 

                                     

 

9. Save to Camera Roll

  • If saving to the Camera Roll, a prompt will ask for a folder name. Enter the name and tap Save.
  • A confirmation message, "File Saved Successfully," will appear.

                              

10. Save to ClickFree

  • If saving to the ClickFree device, a message will confirm, "The file has been saved to the external device."

                                     

 

Additional Notes:

  • The quality of the scanned and colorized photo will depend on the resolution of the original photo and the conditions during scanning (e.g., lighting, alignment).
  • For optimal results, ensure the photo is clean and well-lit before scanning.
